Tartan Plaid Fringed Ruana Poncho

A big checked wrap that opens down the front and falls into a knotted fringe at the hem, cut wide enough to cover the shoulders and arms in one go. The weave is brushed on both faces so it feels soft straight away and holds heat without much weight. Checks run from bold two-tone buffalo squares to finer multi-line tartans and a windowpane, with a few darker and lighter grounds to choose from. It goes over leggings and boots as an outer layer, or across a coat when the temperature really drops. Nothing to fasten, so you just throw it on and adjust the drape.
