Retro Dot and Check Rectangle Barrettes

A slim rectangular barrette with softly rounded corners, kept deliberately plain in outline so the surface pattern does all the talking. The range runs from evenly spaced polka dots to painterly speckles, a hazy check wash and one clean unpatterned panel, which makes them easy to buy as a set and rotate through the week. Each one snaps shut on a sprung metal clasp that lies flat against the head, holding a side sweep, a fringe growing out or a small twisted section. At about six and a half centimetres they sit neatly above the ear without pulling.
