Hooded Fringed Plaid Border Ruana Poncho

A deep hood sits behind the shoulders on this open-front poncho, ready to pull up when the wind picks up. The body stays plain until the hem, where a checked border in fine contrast lines runs the whole way round and breaks into long fringing. The brushed yarn is thick and blanket-soft, draping into points at the front and sides without any fastening. It layers easily over a roll neck and straight jeans, and covers enough to replace a light coat on autumn walks.
