A festive knit dress with the pattern worked into the yarn rather than printed on top. A band of reindeer and a greeting sit across the chest, then the skirt breaks into a repeating diamond and heart motif that carries around to the back. The round neck, dropped shoulders and long sleeves keep the shape forgiving, and ribbed cuffs and hem stop it losing its line after a long dinner. It falls to mid-thigh, so it works over thick tights and boots for the whole season. Warm, cheerful and considerably nicer than the joke jumper in the back of the cupboard.
