There is no fastening at all, so it falls open over whatever you have underneath and the rounded hem stays just above the waistband. Batwing sleeves narrow into a snug ribbed cuff, which balances the volume through the arm. It looks best thrown over a white tank with wide leg denim, and works as an easy indoor layer once it gets cold.
